What To Expect

To get started, sign up with your email address and complete a brief questionnaire. You’ll receive an immediate response to confirm whether you pre-qualify. If you do, you’ll need to complete and sign a Medical Release Form, which allows us to promptly obtain your medical records from your healthcare provider. Once we have your records, a medical professional will review them. If you’re eligible, you’ll be connected with a nearby research clinic where a team member will assist you through the informed consent process.

For EXHALE-2 and EXHALE-3, study participation may last up to 14 months and include up to 13 visits. While EXHALE-4’s participation is up to 6 months and will have up to 12 visits. Several tests and assessments will be performed to monitor your health. These study-related assessments will be at no cost to you, and may include:

Physical examinations
Vital signs check such as blood pressure, heart rate, and weight
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Spirometry test (a test of lung function)
Clinical lab tests and urinalysis
Pregnancy test for women who can get pregnant

Remember that all study-related doctor visits, study assessments, and medication are provided at no cost to you. Additionally, volunteers will be compensated for their time and travel for visits. Your participant journey will require that you attend visits with a medical professional at a clinic near you. The details of your journey will be found in the informed consent document which you will be given ample time to review prior to discussing it with the study team. You always have the opportunity –and are encouraged– to ask questions to your site coordinators or study physician about any step of this trial.

Step 1: Sign up today to see if you pre-qualify!

You can sign up from the comfort of your home. You will be notified within minutes if you are eligible to move forward in the study! If you pre-qualify, you will be asked to select a research center near you where you will be attending your study visits.

Step 2: Complete a Medical Release Consent Form

If you pre-qualify, you will be emailed a Medical Release Consent Form. Open the email and you will see a link which you need to click on in order to complete and sign this form. We need to obtain authorization to acquire your medical records from your physician(s) so we may verify that you meet eligibility criteria for this clinical trial.

Step 2: Connect with your clinic

Once our medical staff reviews your medical records and confirms eligibility, we will connect you with the medical staff at a clinic near you.
Someone will then contact you to schedule your first visit to discuss and sign the Informed Consent Form, to officially begin participation in this trial.
